This is a Pied-Billed Grebe, a very small diving duck.

Trying to get a good image of a bird in flight is not always the easiest but

sometimes it works... This is a Wood Stork...

this is an American Egret...

this is Little Blue Heron...

and this is an Osprey. All were captured in south Florida.

A couple of pretty Spiders

I don't know, as yet, the name of this fellow but I thought he was rather pretty. Actually, you have to get up closs to see their beauty but they don't mind if you don't. This wasd in the wetlands of south Florida.

This is a Crablike Spiny Orb Weaver and is only about 3/8 of an inch across and look like a nicely decorated cookie. I captured this image in Boca Raton, Florida.

These are just a very tiny number...

of the many released and now wild Iguanas of all kind found in south Florida.

Here are two and believe it or not, in this single tree I counted seven. They like hanging out over the canals into which they can drop to escape an attacker. In just two blocks along this canal in Boca Raton I easily saw almost 35 of these and there had to be many that I missed.

Big wild Iguana

This was a really big fellow and was found, as so many are, along side a drainage canal in Boca Raton, Florida. They are the result of being abandoned as pets that got to large. Unfortunately, they are creating a seriouse strain on the local ecological envirionment.
